Caffeine

Today I realised how strong a hold caffeine has on me. I have gone cold turkey on the drug before, but I’ve never felt as bad as I have today.
After 10 am this morning the dreaded caffeine headache hit me, the aspirin could not hold it back! I felt horrible all day, I just needed a quick coffee… but I knew that would be giving up early.
By 2 pm I started to feel like I needed to go to sleep. That just shows how much caffeine has been propping me up these last few weeks!
The plight continues aided by a ton of caffeine free diet coke, hehe.

Many people forget that caffeine is a drug, and like many drugs is able to take a hold of your brain. Though, not as potent as other substances, I know for a fact that I love coffee not only because of its favor, my brain wants it for no reason some times. But, if you use it like we IT folks do, then it is a great energy provider for those late night dev sessions or whatever other projects you are working on.

I would have to agree to people that say caffeine is an addictive drug, I can’t do anything without a strong black coffee in the morning and I can go nut if I don’t get it in the afternoon. But however, it’s a nice way to ease my stress but the terrible thing is coffee always make me light up cigarettes and makes it harder for me to quit smoking
